Yes, I only want to review certain decks on my phone (the school decks). Hopefully, there aren't any major consequences with the multiple downloads? Just remember to log out of the account first! This method works as I've been going back-and-forth a couple times for verification. I received a pop-up stating, "Local collection has no cards, download from AnkiWeb?" After hitting "Yes," the appropriate decks from the account are then downloaded. Hit the sync button and enter the credentials of the other account in the dialogue box. When I log out via the Tools => Preferences => Network => Log Out route, then manually delete each deck to where the collection is blank. To back-track, my original account (MCAT decks) have a ton more cards than the newer account (school work). Any suggestions?Īdditionally, I attempted to create a second profile and transferred my school work decks to the second profile, but profiles are not supported on AnkiDroid, so that was a bust (the Anki forums suggested against this idea too, to separate content in different profiles)ĮDIT: I have found a solution, but it's not efficient or quick. I am looking for is a simple way to log out of one account and to log in with the other account on desktop without the merging of both accounts. I would imagine if I was logged in with the second account, logged out the above method, logged in with the credentials for the original account, I would get the error message, "your local account differs significantly from the AnkiWeb account." and would be asked which collection I would want to keep. When I enter the credentials for the second account, my MCAT decks then begin syncing to my second account on AnkiWeb, which results in my second account now having the MCAT decks along with my school work decks, which is not what I intended. Obligatory: I have tried logging out of the original account via the Tools => Preferences => Network => Log Out route, but when I hit sync (as recommended from previous internet searches), I'm prompted to log in with account credentials. My question is, I would like to be able to log out of the first account (my original, strictly for MCAT decks now) and log in with the second account (new account, for school work). So, I created a second account with another email address so that I can specifically have the second account on my phone (and tablet) for reviewing cards for school. I specifically like to do cards for my school work on AnkiDroid as well, but my phone has had difficulty with overcoming syncing errors given the numerous cards/media/scheduling changes in the MCAT decks. I began studying for the MCAT a couple months ago and have imported a few pre-made decks with a ton of cards (~9k). I've had an account for a few years now for school. I'm looking for some assistance and my searches haven't really given me much help. Users that routinely delete their posts once they receive an answer might be excluded from participating on the sub.
