We had a credit balance of $4 left over on our stay from a previous visit, and he located a key chain in the gift shop which helped us zero out the bill. Concierge Teddy's final hurrah was at our check out. Still one of our favorite touches is the Ice Cream Cart the makes the rounds about 3PM each day and serves complimentary frozen treats. She was attentive and kind, helping us set up our next visit for February. ![]() We even had the pleasure of meeting the GM Melissa had been promoted since our last visit. The pool restaurant also pleased us for 2 lunches, with fresh fish and interesting salads and poolside cocktails. We dined at Latitudes twice during the stay and it is always wonderful, especially the sunset views and Key West centric menu. There is a text link with the concierge desk which allows quick and caring service through your stay. ![]() When later we had a plumbing issue, Concierge Francesca took the call and not only dispatched help immediately, but texted us through the day to make sure the fix was satisfactory and final. Some we had known from past visits: Bartenders Enoch, Katrina and especially Smithers and some new friends - Thomas at the pool bar and Mark the pool attendent who kept the chairs and table spotless and sanitized, and helped with towels. So much of our trip was made better by the people we dealt with. You can snack or sip beer or wine without the sticker shock of a Mini Bar. A welcome change was that the snacks and drinks in the room are now included, for no extra charge. He assisted us with the normal check in and showed us to our cottage. We arrived on the 5:15 boat (they run every 30 minutes to the island from the Opal Resort Marina) and were greeted by Concierge Teddy who would become a wonderful resource for the entire stay. Our return in September brought back wonderful memories, but noticeable positive changes as well. We are repeat guests, but COVID and family issues have kept us away for a year or two.
